Liberals – Time To Go It Alone?

Liberals have a genetic desire for finding consensus, holding onto the hope that there is middle ground where divergent views can meet. But, we need to understand that this is not possible today. It isn’t possible because for today’s conservatives there is no middle ground. We are in a struggle with a group of people who don’t simply want to win the policy debates, they want to discredit and destroy their enemy… and make no mistake: they see liberals are their enemy.
The standard operating principles of the conservative movement are clear: if you don’t have a positive vision of the future, scream insults at those who do; if you don’t have viable solutions to the nation’s problems, demean and demonize those who do; if the facts are against you, invent your own “facts” and shout them out as loud and as often as you can, hoping that people will mistake repetition and high decibel levels as signs of the truth.
